How do I register as a tutor?▾
Fill in the registration form at /register. It takes about 5 minutes. You will need to provide your name, phone, email, city, the areas you cover, subjects you teach, and a short bio about your experience. Your profile is reviewed manually and goes live within 24 hours of approval.
What are tokens?▾
Tokens are for tutors only. You use them to unlock student job leads (tuition requests) on the jobs board, which reveals the parent's or student's phone number so you can contact them. Students and parents never pay anything.
How much do token packs cost?▾
There are three token packs: Starter (5 tokens — PKR 400), Standard (12 tokens — PKR 800), and Pro (25 tokens — PKR 1,500). Purchase is done via WhatsApp — message us and we will send you payment details. Once payment is confirmed, tokens are credited to your account within a few hours.
How many tokens does it cost to unlock a student job lead?▾
The token cost for each lead is dynamic — it depends on how many tutors have already unlocked that lead. A fresh lead with no unlocks is free. As more tutors unlock it, the cost rises (1 token for 1–3 unlocks, 2 tokens for 4–6 unlocks, 3 tokens for 7 or more). The cost is always shown clearly before you confirm the unlock, so you will never be charged a surprise amount.
Can I get a refund on tokens?▾
Tokens are non-refundable once spent to unlock a student lead. Unused tokens may be refunded within 7 days of purchase — email www.lahoretutors.pk@gmail.com with your registered email address. Tokens have no cash value.
Do I pay commission on lessons I take?▾
No commission — ever. Once you unlock a student lead and contact them directly, lahoretutors.pk is completely out of the picture. You agree the tutoring fee directly with the student and receive payment directly from them. We earn only from the token pack purchase, not from your sessions.
My profile was not approved — why?▾
Common reasons include: an incomplete or very short bio, unclear subject listing, a phone number that does not appear genuine, or information that looks inconsistent. Email us at www.lahoretutors.pk@gmail.com and we will tell you specifically what to fix so your profile can be approved.
Can I edit my profile after it is approved?▾
Self-service profile editing is not yet available. To update your bio, subjects, areas, or contact details, email us at www.lahoretutors.pk@gmail.com with your registered email and the changes you need. We will update it within 24 hours.
How do students find my profile?▾
Students find tutors through the homepage search bar, city and subject browse pages (/lahore/mathematics, /karachi/physics, etc.), and directly through Google search. A detailed bio with clear subjects and specific areas gives your profile the best chance of appearing in search results and being clicked by students.
Does lahoretutors.pk verify the students or parents who post requests?▾
No. We only remove obviously fake or abusive requests — we do not verify anyone's identity, address or intentions. Before visiting a home, confirm the parent's identity and address, tell someone where you are going, and never pay anyone a registration, placement or security fee. If a request looks suspicious, do not go and report it to us.
