Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

lahoretutors.pk is a free online directory that connects students and parents with home tutors across Pakistan. Our website is located at https://www.lahoretutors.pk. You can contact us at www.lahoretutors.pk@gmail.com.

2. What Information We Collect

We collect information in two ways:

3. How We Use Your Information

• Tutor profiles — name, phone, email, subjects, and areas are published on the site so students and parents can contact tutors directly.
• Review and moderation — we review tutor registrations manually before publishing them. We use submitted information only to check that the profile looks genuine (this is not an identity or background check).
• Site operation — we use server logs to monitor site performance and diagnose technical issues.
• We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Tutor Profile Visibility

When a tutor registers and is approved, their profile — including name, phone number, email address, city, areas, subjects, and bio — becomes publicly visible on lahoretutors.pk and may be indexed by search engines such as Google. By registering, tutors consent to this public display of their contact information. If you wish to have your profile removed, email us at www.lahoretutors.pk@gmail.com and we will remove it within 48 hours.

5. Cookies and Analytics

lahoretutors.pk uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the website. Google Analytics collects anonymous usage data including pages visited, time spent on each page, general geographic location (country/city level), device type, and the source that brought you to the site (e.g. Google Search, direct, social media).

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to distinguish visits and track sessions. This data is processed by Google and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We do not use this data to identify individual visitors personally.

We do not use Facebook Pixel, advertising cookies, or any third-party marketing trackers. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may also set technical cookies required for site operation.

6. Third-Party Services

Our website uses the following third-party services:

• Vercel — our hosting provider. Vercel may collect standard server logs including IP addresses. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — our database provider, used to store tutor profiles. Data is stored on servers in the European Union. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
• Google Fonts— we load fonts from Google's servers. Google may log font requests including your IP address. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google Analytics 4 — we use Google Analytics to measure website traffic and understand how visitors interact with our site. Google Analytics collects anonymised data via cookies. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. See Google's Privacy Policy.

7. Data Retention

Tutor profile data is retained for as long as the profile is active on the site. Tutors can request removal of their profile and all associated data at any time by emailing www.lahoretutors.pk@gmail.com. Removal is completed within 48 hours.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your information and profile.
• Withdraw consent for your data to be publicly displayed.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at www.lahoretutors.pk@gmail.com.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
